What is Kaiweet HT118E Measurement Counter
The HT118E is one of Kaiweets' most popular digital multimeters. It's designed for homeowners, DIYers, car enthusiasts, and even electricians who want a reliable and safe tool. This tool has some amazing features, like:
- It's 20,000 count display ensures highly precise readings, allowing you to detect even the smallest changes in voltage or current.
- The inclusion of True RMS technology means it can accurately measure both pure and irregular waveforms.
- It is used to cover a broad range of measurements, including AC/DC voltage and current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, duty cycle, temperature, continuity, and diode testing.
- It even includes Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) detection for safely identifying live wires without making contact.
Top Electrical Tests with the Kaiweet HT118E
Here are some of the tests you can perform with the Kaiweet HT118E measurement counter:
Check Voltage
If you want to see if a wall outlet is working properly, then just plug the red and black test leads into the correct ports on the meter and turn the dial to AC voltage. Then carefully insert the leads into the hot slots of the outlet. A typical reading should appear. This tells you if the outlet is live and providing power as it should.
Test Car Battery
You can even test your car battery with this tool. To check your car battery’s health, switch the meter to DC voltage. Touch the red lead to the positive battery terminal and the black lead to the negative. A fully charged car battery should read full.
Test For Continuity Wires
To test for the continuity of a wire, you touch both ends of a good wire or fuse. The meter will beep, letting you know the path is complete. If it doesn’t beep, that means there’s a break somewhere in the line. It is perfect for finding damaged wires or blown fuses.
Test Diodes
A diode is a small electronic component that allows electricity to flow in only one direction. To test the diodes, set the meter to the diode mode (diode symbol). Touch the leads at each end of the diode or LED. If it's working, you'll see a small voltage reading, and the LED may light up. If you get nothing, the component might be faulty.
Test Bulb
To test the bulb, set the meter to continuity or resistance mode and touch the leads to both ends of the fuse or bulb’s base. If the meter beeps (or shows low resistance), it’s good. If not, it needs to be replaced.
How To Use The Kaiweet HT118E
The measurement counter might seem a little complicated, but it is not. You just need to be focused while understanding how it functions. Here is how it is used:
- Insert the test leads correctly and put the black lead into COM. Then the red leads into the correct port
- Turn the dial and choose the setting for resistance.
- Connect the probes and touch the black probe to the “ground” or negative point. Then touch the red probe to the point you want to test.
- Read the display, and the large screen will show your value clearly, with automatic unit selection.
- Use port lights as a guide, and the meter lights up the correct port for what you’ve selected.
- Turn on the flashlight (if needed) for working in dim areas like behind appliances or in car engines.
- Hold the top of the meter near the wires. No contact needed; it detects voltage wirelessly.
If you have this Kaiweet HT118E counter and you only use it for one purpose, read this blog and get to know how many more things you can measure. If you don't have this, then get your hands on this counter and make your life easier.
